APPRAISAL PACKAGES OVERVIEW

For clients who wish to have their entire home cataloged and appraised, this is your Package. By far our most popular service, the All-Inclusive Package provides you with multiple digital reports. These include a room-by-room detailed inventory of all items accompanied by high-quality images, individual appraisals, a summary appraisal report and inventory spreadsheet. We also calculate the aggregate value of your entire inventory, provide homeowners insurance comparisons and a list of all your appraised assets worth $2500 or more which you can take to your insurance broker for scheduling. Custom reports are also available.

The square footage of your residence is the primary factor in determining the cost of this package, not an ambiguous hourly rate. In our experience, our clients’ one-time investment for AVI’s All-Inclusive Package averages less than 1% of the value of their uninsured personal property assets.

For clients who own high-value items and wish to have some items appraised but do not desire a detailed inventory and aggregate value of all the personal property in their home, AVI also offers our Appraisal-Only Package. For a flat fee, a professional Inventory Specialist will come into your home and 1) digitally capture the contents of each room in your home and 2) individually inventory and appraise up to 40 items of your choice. Each item will be appraised using the same USPAP-compliant¹ procedures as in our All-Inclusive Package. After 40 items, there will be a per item fee to appraise each additional asset.

The centerpiece of your report is a detailed appraisal report with high quality digital images and descriptions for each item appraised. This report can be used to update your homeowners insurance and to schedule Valuable Article coverage on appraised items, for estate planning or distribution, or for charitable giving.
