Appraisal Types
AVI offers 3 different appraisal types. You may need to order one or more types of appraisals depending on your needs:
Replacement Value
When your valuable items may not be fully covered on your homeowners or renters insurance, use these appraisals to purchase more insurance coverage (riders) if needed. They are also vital documentation for claims in case of loss.
Opinion of Value
USPAP-compliant restricted appraisal report often used to determine the current value of an item for resale purposes.
Donation Value
When you donate a valuable item to a 501c3 non-profit organization such as Salvation Army, this fair market value appraisal for charitable giving is IRS-approved and can be used for tax purposes.
